Leaders-in-Training

Entering 10th - 12th grade

Older campers can challenge themselves in our Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program. LITs will get the same great Marin Ranch Camp experience, with many added privileges and responsibilities.

Leadership Skills

Our trained and experienced leadership team take a special interest in these young leaders. We tailor the program based upon the leadership, teamwork and communication skills of each individual. Through a mix of fun games and adventure challenges, we hope that our LITs leave camp with a new sense of themselves and just how much they can accomplish.

Lead Programs & Activities

With the guidance of experienced team, our LITs will be given one or more all-camp events to plan, set-up and run themselves! This collaborative activity will allow them to employ the skills that they have learned all week long and succeed together as a tightly knit team.

Youth Development

Since we are a summer camp for kids, LITs will get a taste of what being a camp counselor is like. They'll be given the opportunity to connect with younger campers during meals, elective time, group games and while swimming in the lake.

Supervision

Our LITs are campers - and as such, they will have a mentor counselor who is there to teach them as well as to ensure their camp experience is a great one! We believe in a guided approach, with boundaries and expectations, so our valuable older campers don't feel like they've been thrown in the deep end. At the same time, our LITs enjoy extra privileges and responsibilities and serve as role models for our younger campers.
